Finding Your Dream Career

ParentCircle, ParentcircleParentCircle

A famous saying by Gautama Buddha goes like this: “If you are facing in the right direction, all you need to do is keep on walking. But how does one figure out if he is facing in the right direction?” This is quite true for most stages of our life, especially while choosing a career. Trying to figure out whether our choice is right and whether we are heading in the right direction is very important.

When it comes to children, parents and teachers should guide them in the process of choosing a career that would suit them the best. Both the child's interest and aptitude should be kept in mind while deciding on which career he should choose. The Harvard Business Review, in its article, ‘The Key to Choosing the Right Career’, cites the findings of a research which revealed that human beings are remarkably bad at predicting how they will feel when doing something in the future.

While choosing a suitable career is a challenging task for any child, parental pressure to choose a particular field can only make the situation worse. So, let your child follow his dreams. After all, he has the right to decide what he wants to do and what he wants to be in future.

This ClipBook is a collection of articles which will help you guide your child choose a satisfying and successful career path.
